Required Qualifications (Check all that apply)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
   Minimum of two years shipboard engineering experience in oceangoing vessel operations, regulatory compliance, and vessel management
   Knowledge of marine industry
   Minimum two years marine experience, either shipboard or shoreside

SKILLS REQUIRED
   Proficiency in ship operations and maintenance
   Computer literacy

PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED
   Effective communications skills
   Adept at administration of tasks involving challenging determinations

ENGINEERING SHORE-BASED PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
   U.S. citizen in possession of a valid U.S. passport
   Capable of obtaining a government-issued U.S. security clearance
   At least two years' experience in the U.S. commercial or government maritime industry in either a shore-side or shipboard engineering role, such experience demonstrating the ability to effectively assist with marine engineering projects such as overhauls and other types of maintenance and repairs
   Basic practical knowledge of mechanical engineering and naval architecture principles and practices as they pertain to ocean-going ships
   Basic practical knowledge of shipboard electrical distribution systems
   Familiarity with marine/mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering disciplines
   The ability to understand overhaul requirements, and the preparation of contract work specifications and cost estimates for repair, overhaul, conversion, or construction of ocean-going ships; or a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent level of knowledge of ship operations and maintenance management
